I snagged one.
Great little bird and an awesome supplement to the Mavic.

Here are a few thoughts on it:

Let me know if you have any specific questions, but I'm pretty happy with it.

What is the deal with the extra controller?

Is it only cell phone controlled or can you buy a DJI non phone controller?

$1000 Mavic vrs $500 Spark

In your opinion are these a killer for all DJI Phantom stuff?

Depends on your use case I guess, but I got rid of my P3A when I got the Mavic....

If you by just the Spark, its controlled by cell phone or gesture. In all honesty, they did a great job in the app and the cell works pretty well. I "planned" to stick with that, but ended up buying the controller anyway. Its GREAT with the controller and faster / more agile than I expected in sport mode.

That said, you may as well buy the bundle with controller, extra battery, and the charging hub for $699. You get the bag and prop guards (personally don't care about those) included as well.

As far as which to get, completely depends on what you want out of them. I have the "fly more" Mavic that came with the 3 total batteries, bag, etc. Honestly the bag looked silly but is great for its purpose.

I look at the Mavic as the purpose built ship when I want really clean shots, and the Spark as the "at risk" AP platform. I have no issues tossing it in a bag and am quite sure I'll get some great shots from it as I'm more likely to have it with me.

Its far better than I expected honestly.

Subbed. I'm on the fence too, I have a P3 ghetto edition, I'd like something smaller. Hopefully the DJI refurb deals show up for turkey day.

I guess that controller still needs a cellphone for only video info. A little expensive an extra $200 just for a std controller.

I also would like to get rid of my big dji phantom 3 and get the more practical smaller spark.

I would like to see a slow drop from a high altitude or a rain or low light vid would be a good.

It did great. I haven't gotten a chance to edit any of the actual video off of the card yet, but heres a quick clip.

This is the footage streamed to the device, and using the AutoEdit in the DJI App just to see how it would do.

Just want to be clear that it is NOT the full resolution video from the card.. I'll post some of that up once I get a few minutes to edit it.

Old thread but i just not found much on this Spark, I just won a bid for one on ebay i been looking and reading watching you tube videos the past few days. After a guy i know showed me his Mavic pro i had never seen one in person, didnt know they cost $1200 so anyways he got me wanting to do more video flying. my current breeze 4 K is very limited on how high and how far from myself i can fly. also i can never get the stupid PS3 looking remote to connect so end up flying with my phone. pretty annoying..

Anyways i have been looking at chargers what is the best one? i was looking at this one. it does 4 at once and does have some sort of display i like displays

https://www.amazon.com/Anbee-Battery...+spark+battery

I been trying find a good buy on battery's also i would like to have at least one extra one but i think i will enjoy flying it so maybe i should get at least 2 if not 3 more. Ive read it can take some time to charge them all up.

Is there any ways to make a adapter easily to use our good hobby chargers?
I know it is avertized to go 1.2 miles. that is long way I do have one place i fly that is pretty good distance not sure how far but hope i can fly the whole thing. one guy showed he only got about half a mile with his.

I did see they make these cover things to go over the antennas to make it go more distance has anyone tried them?

I would think they would be more talk about this now. seem there down in price now $359 for spark, one batt, controller. I just didn't have that to spend seen a great deal on RCG and now i realize its even a better deal. battery's and all really add up fast. but then again i really don't like buying used battery's cause you never know.
