Default Head speed

Hey guys,

I'm sure this topic has been discussed here before. I just bought a couple of X3's. What head speed is everyone running? Any suggestions for throttle curve.

Thanks.

use a head speed calc to figure out gearing and all clearly as you would with every heli...

but I know some people run as low as 2800 (this is pretty low) but id say average is 3000-3500... 3500 is ballistic, i run mine at 3400. 3200 is a nice sweet spot for this bird in my opinion.

Default rpm

Hi in my case I use low speed in normal mode 2600 more less, but in idle I have 3200 rpm and batteries time max of 3:30 min thatīs the problem. I prefer low spped soft 3D and more time.

I run 2850. There isn't a maneuver the heli won't do at this hs. And you really have to push it in transitions to get it to blow out. I get about 4:20 of what I consider smack 3d. I have a couple vids in the video thread above.

The other bonus when you go in at lower hs, there is less energy in the heli being dissipated into the ground which translates to dollars saved

Have my headspeed set at 2850, 3000 and 3150. Typically fly at 3000, nothing wrong with 2850 performance or tail hold. Mine is original TT tail.
