Default Burnt Insulation on Servo Cable

I made a mistake and touched the servo wire for my new Scorpion Tribunus 12-130 ESC on the soldering iron. It comes with two cables one for master and one for slave. It burnt a spot in the insulation. I can see a small spot of the copper wire. Should I try and find a new one or could I put some heat shrink on that spot. I see you can get 20 gauge heavy duty servo wire now.

Personally, I'd replace it. But, you can put heatshrink on it if you want. The only issue with heatshrink is now you have a stiff spot in the wire. But if you're comfortable making your own cable, I say make a new. Either way, you should be fine.

I just wondered if it being a power supply cable the gauge looked a little heavier.

It looks a little heavier than the wire I have. So I will just fix it and use it. I guess my OCD is kicking in.

Dunno if any of you guy's run Goblin 700's but the stock Master and Slave wires are not long enough if you place the Tribunus under the front of the battery tray and the NEO on the recommended FBL plate.

Quick answer is make your own the correct length with a decent thickness wire.

I have done both - longer and shorter. I did the same and used 20g wire.

Need to buy some of the 20g wire for ESCs. I only have 22g on hand.
