Well, guys, I've decided to sell mCPS--just too many helis and I haven't been flying this one all that much. Right now, my ad is at RCGroups:

Brushless Blade mCPS Package

Thanks!

Great flying in such a confined area! Awesome control of that machine.

Dang, that's great! No tail blow outs, either.

Thanks ! I very like this heli. Its relax you need to remove the pitch when you hear the motor bog. It prevent tail blow-out I also set my pitch curve to 0-17-50-83-100%

I very like the nano tech 300 mah 45c. But I only fly 3min because more than that the motor start to bog. I land at 3.8.

I purchased one last week. Flew it today. 8-9 flights total. It needs more break-in. My batteries might be a bit weak. May need some more cycles, not sure. So far it has potential in OEM form. I might order some Pulse batteries. Absolutely no tail blow outs and I have the pitch in the 90's. It definitely holds better than the V1 or V2's I had.

Hopefully the power picks up. I also have some KBDD main blades and tail rotors to try.

Cool - Congrats on your new heli !

Mine needed 20 or so flights to 'break in'. It was pretty sluggish at first - I thought I got a dud. Even the stock lipos ended up being fine - I thought they were duds too. I did get a bunch of NanoTech 300s - they work great. Maybe re-evaluate around flight 30 or so.

I tried KBDD blades too. Mains worked fine (they are lighter than stock). I had major problems with the KBDD tail blade (it's twice as heavy as stock). Poor tail performance, constant blowouts and shortened battery life. Put stock tail blades back on and everything was fine. Let us know how they work out for you ...

Yep the included Eflite batteries are trash! I have never had a good 1S eflite pack! Voltage sag for days after 30-40 seconds! Heli flies great, it just needs some good batteries.

I sold my mCPX BL a month or so ago.... missing it. Anyway I would trade my mCPS for one.

I haven't tried the KBDD blades. Everything is still stock.

I ordered some Pulse batteries. Installed the solid tail boom. The KBDD tail rotor performance was poor with the hollow boom. I'll try one on the solid long boom. I suppose the KBDD rotor would be fine for sport flight. I was getting excessive TBO flying 3D. I expect the same results with the solid long boom. I really don't want to comment on main blade performance until I have flown the Pulse packs.

The KBDD skids seem to be fragile compared to OEM also. They are not deformed an any way and look very good. I can't say that about the OEM skids.

Seems like the slightest little crack in the hollow boom greatly exacerbates the TBO likelyhood. Also, current drain by the main motor seems to be a factor as well, starves the tail motor and causes TBO.

All true.... The Pulse packs will be here tomorrow. I'm thinking about ordering the factory brushless kit after the motor starts to go.

I know for a fact that heavier blades make the TBO problem worse. I had a hell of a time with the bulleted blades causing TBOs, and then found the non-bulleted blades to be much more forgiving (assuming the boom wasn't cracked, of course).

Basically, anything that contributes to increasing main motor torque and current draw will exacerbate the TBO tendencies of the mcps. With this said, if you do get the HH brushless, I recommend running stock, non-bulleted main blades and reducing your servo travel to 80/80 to keep the TBOs under control.

I'm not having TBO problems with the OEM rotor. Lol. The hollow boom lasted a week before it cracked. The KBDD caused TBO were the OEM would hold. I'm having a motor bog problem caused by crap packs though. I've been flying 3D with mCPX helis for many years. My setup is good, and pitch management is... lets say above average.

The bullet blades are harder to fly 3D with. The heli tracks better with them though. Other blades are quicker and more forgiving on pitch. In my opinion there isn't a perfect blade for micro helis. Even with the 180CFX. Carbon blades are pretty precise but, do not have the pop of plastic blades. Even with the pitch increased. I do like both blades.

Default Angry bird

Installed a Microheli angry bird canopy, green tail blade, and a set of red micro heli main blades. Looks great in the air and very visible.

I finally took mine outdoors, been hovering indoors sense I got it shortly after it was released. did some sloppy flips then they got better, then it pitched nose up and fell, i hit hold and did the short walk of shame, no damage noted. I let it cool off put a battery in and decided it was time to do some forward flight, wow this thing flies great i was F-mode 2 and it handled like it was on rails. then it lost power and returned to mother earth, after just over 2 min of flying i hit LVC. When i got home i checked the batteries one was 3.78 the other 4.19 I put the first battery back in

still had fun and it will fly again
