Default Not off to a great start...

I finally started assembling my exo I bought in July.

Sadly, I was unable to make any traction.

First thing I found was both my main blade grips are scratched up and covered in tooling marks. Not the end of the world, but not exactly confidence-inspiring. Whatever. I can live with it.

Second thing I found was that my main thrust bearings are not a proper set...I have 3 smaller inner diameter race/washers and one larger outer diameter. That's a new one.

Moving to the tail, I found a some crushed aluminum on one of the tail blade grips where the 8 link connects. I can live with that too, but again, huh? At least the tail thrust washers are a matched set...

Lastly, my main belt guide would barely rotate. It was mounted in the frame and the bearings were completely bound up. I suspect the spacer is a tiny bit too short causing the bearings to over-load. I added a .2mm shim between the bearing and the spacer inside the sleeve and now it spins freely. It has a little axial play, but I figure that's better than it seizing and snapping the motor belt.

Anybody else have any of these issues? Who do I contact? Experience RC or Compass directly?

None of this is a deal-breaker, but I can't help but be a little disappointed.

Pretty much all of these things came up on the german forum too. The eXo seems to have quite some teething issues. I steered clear of it after reading the thread on the german forum.
I believe there is a compass guy reading on the german forum though. They know of the issues and I am sure they'll fix em. Stunning looking heli otherwise.

First off, I'm certain I speak for everyone by saying we're sorry you're having this experience. Second, yes, please contact ExperienceRC regarding your issues. Steve's a good guy who wants to make sure these kinds of things do not happen.

Thanks Scott.

I just sent Experience an email.

Again, none of this is a deal breaker.

Just seems like this one slipped through QC a bit.

Just an update.

My email was immediately answered and parts are already being shipped.

That is some serious first-class service from Steve at Experience RC.

You did the work, sir! Thank you for documenting everything so well. That's the most important thing!

Ah-Hahaha! That's too funny.

If you got 3 big, one small, I bet you're right
