Default Tail boom support screws

Hey guys, for background - I didn't build this machine - was bought used.

I lost a boom support screw, on the rear support, this weekend while flying. I pulled the other side out to see what type screw I was dealing with and was surprised to find a course threaded screw about 6 or 8mm long maybe. Went to check out the manual but it appears to show and call-out a M3x6 Machine Thread screw. Has there been a change in this kit, do I have the wrong screws in my heli or what's going on here?

My manual calls for 3x8 screw, from the picture it looks like a slightly coarser threaded almost self tapping type screw (it screws into plastic), that sounds like it may be what you have on your heli? sounds correct.

yes it does, but the manual I pulled from Gaui seems to show more of a machine screw. Maybe I just can't see worth a crap...

3x8 coarse thread. I used CA to hold it secure.

Yeah I see what you're saying, that picture does show M3x6mm looks like the same type of fine thread screws as used on the frame sides.

I think that must be a mistake, those fine threads aren't ideal for screwing into plastic at all.

Definitely sounds like the screw you have on the heli is correct, I'd put another one just like that to replace the one that fell out.
