Default A Small Miracle

I was near the end of my second flight, Logo 550sx, and the heli started fluttering, and had very limited cyclic and collective responses. I was able to get it upright and fly it almost back to the pad and save it!!!. Upon inspection, one of the blade grip links had popped off of the swash plate, and by SOME SMALL MIRACLE it got bound up enough in the swash driver to somewhat hold the blade steady enough to barely fly it with almost no positive collective

Thank you Heli Gods!

No miracles here, just physics.

Modern blades have very minimal lead angles and the commonly used airfoils strive to reduce their AOA when no control forces are acting on them, that's why your blade stayed on track.

Seen several times, always worked out

+1 on the blade zeroing out. Control goes to mush. Good save.

I had a similar scare recently with my 600sx. Did a string of tic-tocs then heard a blade flutter when hitting -collective. Brought it in to find my main shaft collar had slid up.
Turns out it cracked, fatigue I guess.

Moral of the story is If you hear something weird don't hesitate, get it on the ground and check it out.
