Default CGY750 Updates needed?

I just got my 1st CGY set up and flying--at least hovering (successfully, so far).
I bought it many months ago, but it was the v2, after the Nick Maxwell vid's were out.
Does this unit need any kind of firmware update at certain intervals, or only if announced by Futaba?
Thanks--

P.S. Is this the best location on HF for CGY750 operation/setup questions? I assume so, and welcome any tips concerning individuals (including Futaba reps) who are actively providing support.

The v2 firmware is the latest and firmware releases are announced by Futaba.
You will read and hear plenty of noise when a new firmware is released on HeliFreak, RR, and Facebook by Futaba and the Futaba reps.

This is the best location on HeliFreak for CGY750 questions.
I check usually once a day and get a summary email on topics in this section.

The Nick Maxwell videos are a great resource!
In addition two other threads I have participated in are helpful for tuning as well.

Thanks very much--got a 480 hovering pretty well --next I need to check the manual (and/or the videos) to add Tx control of the gains--using 18SZ.

Just learning the CGY--can put it on larger helis later (Urukay, soXos--using Neo and Axon)

Just got the 480xx hovering wobble-free--which is really saying something in the case of my 480 (quite a wobbler).
Could see the tail wiggling just a little, with initial setup--raised gains closer to 70 and wiggle totally went away.
Big accomplishment in my mind--got CGY months ago--would try occasionally to set it up, but didn't know much about the radios back then.
I guess this bodes pretty well for my bigger helis, since I like to hover around my (confined) back yard !! (At least for setting up helis--there is a larger field behind my office, fortunately--at least for orientation/inverted, etc. practice)
PS--ck out Nick M on RC Heli Hooligans podcast, re F3C/CGY/etc.
