Default TDR problems help

Ok I have redone my TDR set up from scratch after a very hairy and nerve racking first flight that almost ended in a disaster:

1) My jeti Tx set up to make the Spirit channel assignment work is a copy paste of my other helicopter with Spirit who works perfectly. See:

https://www.helifreak.com/showthread...=790798&page=3

2) I have the suggested parameter from the Spirit software for the TDR.

3) This helicopter was flying perfectly with BD3SX as FBL and jlog for telemetry.

4) All controls and FBL reaction to tilting work the way they should and I had a friend double check it.

I think I have eliminated all possible stupidity I could have done in the set up of the Spirit.

The helicopter is still shaking and wobbling and is almost impossible to control, I got lucky again (but for my great skills , just kidding guys) to still have a heli in one piece.

I am really starting to think I have a defective unit. How can I check this?

If you don't trust the FBL unit, why take a chance with an expensive heli? Try it on a expendable heli, or just try a new Spirit unit. It is cheap insurance.

Redo your setup from scratch. Reset the Spirit to factory defaults. Use only one bank to start. Create a new plain heli model on the Jeti TX. Run through the Spirit setup wizard. Once it is flying, then you can get fancy.

Good luck.

Thanks this is what I did already hoping that I was too fancy on the first set up. It did not work.

I guess I will contact Spirit and see if they can inspect it. Flight days are about over here, so I was hoping to sort this out before hibernating since I have 2 helis to do this winter and still not completely sure on my futur choice of FBL.

Although Spirit is the front runner.

For me, the main reason to use Spirit is its reliable Rescue. I would not be flying helis without this. I would only consider another FBL unit if it had SL/Rescue that was as reliable. Spirit also has excellent support. I wish they offered a High Power version for big helis, but with the Spirit Pro I use three ports for power on my big heli.

Could your mounting be a problem? Make sure that's 100 percent, including the tray. Defective tape? good luck, Dan

Well this has been a long process and a happy ending.

I want to thank Eugene from Spirit who has been a big help providing clues as to what to look for.

In the end nothing worked but I must have my TDR built perfect by now. It was not the Spirit fault, it was not the TDR fault...

It was the Pyro 700-52 that was causing the problem although all seemed to work properly and the vibration log was showing no problem, a magnet inside the Pyro had moved sideway and was partially in the wrong position.

When we finally decide to check the motor outside the frame in our hand vibration.

A new Pyro is on order and I will see what will happen with Kontronik and possible warranty but I doubt it since it is 3 year old.
