Default TS5828 mini 5.8ghz tx Overheating help.

If i desolder the casing as per pictures below, will i damage or interrupt with the transmitters transmitting ability?
the idea is to remove this casing and put on a heatsink directly onto the chip with thermal padding, i also read that this metal casing is not even touching the rf chip that gets so blazing hot inside it ?

How hot do my soldering iron need to get to desolder it, did they use hi temp solder on this tx ?
I don't want to do more damage than good doing this mod ?

There's always a chance that it will decrease the performance, but as long as you ground all points the plate it should be fine. Make sure to locate all solder points to that plate and replace it. Personally I would just buy a cheap small heatsink and place it on top of the receiver. Solder temperature shouldnt be anything special, like 300c. Make sure to be quick with the solder joints otherwise you can fry the internal components.
