Default Is the CGY-750 discontinued?

I'm a relative newbie. I just came back from a fun fly yesterday and had almost settled on learning the CGY-750 but I look at lots of websites today and they all show "discontinued". The Futaba site itself says "unavailable". Amain, helidirect, etc all show "discontinued". What gives?

May just go with Mikado....

Thanks,
Marcus

Absolutely not - 100% still available and current.

Maybe you suppliers are just out of stock - plenty of stock in UK and Europe !

Marcus,
Hobbico is just out of stock here in the US.
Being the dealers you mentioned get their stock from Hobbico, once they sell the last one they are waiting for restock.
Regards,

I wonder if it's a description thing. It should really say out of stock.

Yep, "discontinued" is a lot different than "out of stock"!!

Seems like a lot of stuff is out of stock. Do the dealers buy at the beginning of the year and slowly run out towards the end of the season?

Could also be listed that way based on rumor or a new model. Several years ago I picked up a JR GSR260Z helicopter that was normally listing at $3000 for $900 as it was being marked as discontinued. It turned out that at the time there were three models, the GSR260Z, the GSR260Z Sports (the same helicopter with different landing gear and exhaust) and the GSR260Z FBL, they were discontinuing the Sports version only.

Still been looking and still can't find one. Any ideas where to pick one up other than eBay where they really have the price jacked up?

How many do you require - plenty in stock here and I carry them all the time.

The new 760 is not immediate and still a long way away - the 750 will still continue anyway for those not wanting an all in one unit.

Often that only means Hobbico stopped importing it to the US.

Check and see if it in stock at RCJapan. If they have it marked discontinued than it may really be discontinued.

Even on the Futaba website, it says "unavailable".

Which Futaba website?

Futaba-Rc.com is Hobbico, so it will always mirror the Tower stock status.

Futaba.co.jp is the ‘real’ website.

The RC website, the JP website never has anything of any value on it.
