Default Why so few 450 multi-blade rotor heads

Come on, all I seem to see is the numerals 500. 60 700 etc.

Is there a problem with making a quality 450 fourblade rotor head>?

The CopterX heads are still around. They have a rigid head: CopterX (CX450BA-20-00) RIGID Four Blades Main Rotor Set for 450 HeliFlybarless / Multi-blades
and a "floating" (semi-rigid) head: CopterX (CX450BA-20-00) RIGID Four Blades Main Rotor Set for 450 HeliFlybarless / Multi-blades
They also carry some fairly nice sets of scale blades for 450s as well.

I guess the market for 4-blade heads of that size is just too small, since most scale enthusiasts go for 600 or bigger.
Another problem is tail rotor authority with a 4-blade head and the associated lower head speed. As long as you were stuck with 325mm blades there was no chance to improve that by using longer tail blades. That has changed somewhat in recent years., with many more blade sizes available.

I was just contemplating the same thing. I have seen some youtube multi blade scale helis that flew well and were nice, but no telling what they used and what they spent. I want to do a copterx 4 blade floating head on a 450 jet ranger using a longer main shaft, and make it look like a new Bell 407.
Also, I'm hoping to use Tarot parts for the rest to keep budget low, but I just added up $225 to parts build it. Might be better off to start with a trex 450 pro barebone kit and just add the 4 blade head. Another problem with 450's is the choice of fuselages. For me, 500 size is getting to big and expensive, but I love scale, so I'm gonna have to make it happen. cheers
