Default mini vbar gov question

i am running vtx 557's on my 550sx and really like the lower headspeed , i have 3 headspeeds set 2000,2100 and 2200 , the blades perform best at 2100 but the headspeed isn't holding , when i increase the collective even a little i can hear the blades slowing down , it comes back up again fairly quickly and in iu2 (2200) i don't notice the drop at all . is this a gov gain problem?
i'm using a 15 t pinion on the stock gear with an x nova motor
should i play with the gov gain?
Anthony

Post your log then we can make a better assessment on it. Seems to me that 2200 is too high for your current gearing.

That helped and as there are now governor glitches or full throttle messages it looks like it is well geared. It is very strange that 2000 and 2200 rpm works but not 2100rpm.

You do the switching via banks? If so check that the settings of the bank with the 2100rpm requested is the same as the other two.

i don't switch using banks , just a switch on my transmitter , i get the requested rpm so i assume it works , i haven't flown in normal(2000) so i don't know if that is holding headsped the only one that appears to work is iu2, do i need to use banks so that i can adjust the gov gain for each one? also this is for a v bar mini not a neo , not sure if that's relevant or not

No need to use banks, but it makes sense to use them as you can have different settings like tail gain etc for each rpm.

Not necessary to change governor gain, you first need to make sure that it is only the 2100 rpm that is not holding, it might be that you have too large a pinion and the motor cannot produce the torque to maintain rpm, which XNova are you using?
