Default Black Nitro - Header tank

Anyone using a 2oz header tank on the Black Nitro?
It seems to have a good spot to hang the 2oz header on the side of the main tank and outside the canopy.

I have always used a 2oz header on every nitro heli I've even flown.

The last time I tried to run without one was when I removed it from my Trex 700N.
But that was only for about 5 flights and I flamed out at the end of the tank on 3 of those flights.
So, I went back to the header tank.

I know the "advantages" of the MOAS (Monster of all Suck) foam clunks and using a super flexible clunk-line.
I have all that on all my nitro.
I'm pretty sure I'll run out of fuel at the wrong time without a header.

It also seems to offset the pipe's weight so the L/R CG is a little closer to the center of the frame.

I've run a header tank on every heli except the Black Nitro and honestly I have not missed it. Just remember to land when the timer goes off or at least be ready for a potential flame out.

I am running the MOAS V2.

I'm running the stock sab clunk. On some of my other nitros I thought a header tank might be nice. On the black nitro it has quite the large tank, and it seems to pickup really well. I was getting 6 minutes with a decent amount left to go.

The fuel tank capacity of the Black Nitro is only slightly less than the Trex 700N - 650cc vs 660cc

So, without a header tank, I expect I'll be running the Black Nitro dry sooner than the T700N since I am using the same motor

If I may share my experience. I don't have a header tank on my goblin nitro and everything else is also stock. Its my first nitro heli essentially and I was thinking as I built it, okay so what happens if the fuel level is say 1/4 tank and you do a sustained vertical dive or sustained farily vertical manouever like a funnel. Doesn't it make sense the clunk will not be anywhere close to the fuel level ?

Yet somehow it doesn't seem to get affected really. I can't explain it. Mind you I haven't done like a 30 second sustained vertical move at 1/4 tank or less but still, there is no burps or surges or hiccups even doing pyro flips at low levels and such.

Quite pleased
