Default Very impressed with this Bird!

Have flown it around 20 times and I have to say its a big step up over the blade 250cfx no tail blow out nothing. I actually like flying the 1300 mah packs from the 250cfx on it, get around 3 mintues no problem.

The only weird thing is that I downloaded the dx9 program from Spektrum website and I can't adjust the volume on the radio countdown. When I try to adjust, it adjusts and shows a speaking volume as you exit the menu using the back button, but for some reason the countdown volume doesn't adjust.

Overall very happy with the purchase and the canopy is gorgeous.

It seems that Blade has completely turned the corner on selling mass produced mediocre birds from what I tell and hear.
My last Blade was the 250cfx and is one of my favorites. Love them or hate them it's good to hear positive feedback about the 330.

Yes I couldn't be happier with mine. Flies great, look great, stable yet responsive and all built for you with a great gyro system all set up perfectly.

Just a bargain in my view.

Cheers,
Phil

I am looking forward to the maiden flight for My 330X...

It will be the only 450-class heli I have that flies on 3S...

The other 4 450X's are 4S / 6S

From all indications I've seen it will be like many Blade products...

Flies great...right out of the box

Good to hear positive things about the latest Blade helis. They do offer good value. You get the package deal with them.

I would be pretty much impressed if HH would take:
- Blade 270 Fusion / 360CFX 3s 45A ESC with governor
- Blade 270 Fusion AR636 SAFE (rescue) FBL receiver

and upgrade 330X as a V2 :-)

Maybe I could upgrade my 4503D for 3s 2200mah in 2019....

AFAIK 450X V1, 450V2 have not been bad for mechanics.
Tail just worked.

In 2015 I replaced the tail servo with H3060MG over DS76T. Worked.

You just have to know that this Spektrum MG servo (poti) does not withstand crashes very good and that the bottom chassi is made of cheap plastic (you better not screw it), (much) worser than DS76T.
Never had any problems with DS76T bottom screws and chassi screw holders getting easily corrupt.

2nd thing is the max. 270Hz for the H3060MG (even that it is fast!) vs to be expected 330hz.
Another astonishing moment with Tarot ZYX.

IMHO there are several bigger tail (mid) servos with better (bigger) motors and better 330hz spec for 450-500 helis (mixed tail servo) out....
I do not think that micro servos are anymore the best solution to go with?
Especially as the tail servo can be mounted on the boom, so should be no real problem?!?

So my question: What are you "Very impressed" with your 330X?

a) Because of a "working" mechanical belt plastic tail like 4503D, 450X V1+V2? Shouldn't that be "normal"?

b) Because of the adapted Non-Safe (no rescue) AR636 FBL receiver?
It does indeed work? Wow! Who would have expected this?

b) I still agree with you that it's great to have a FBL receiver pre-mounted and configured for BNF, where you do not have to pay another ~120-180EUR for a new Spirit System FBL, EZNov Neuron, MSH Brain V2.

3s 1300mah? Isn't that a bit "very light"?
How about the CG?

On my 4503D I use 3s 2200mah (friend has 450X V1 and has converted from 3s 2200 to 4s with less mah because of quads).
Gives great CG.

----

Have not tested if 3s 2600mah/2800mah might fit under the canopy...wouldn't think so...who has tried or does this only work for T-Rexes/Lynx?

I am using an adapter cable from EC3 to Ultra-Deans with telemetry voltage sensor.
