Default Motor choice

I haved 2 motors on hand and am trying to figure out which one to use, I have a Goblin 630 and am looking for your opinions on weather to use a Align BL800MX or a Savox BSM5065, both are about 520kv. I am not going to go out and buy a different motor at this point so please only suggest which of the two I listed.

Thanks in advance

Could not find the stator size on those motors... Guessing a 630 size heli would use a 4035 motor. So, which ever is closest to that size is the one I would choose.

I would like the more powerful of the two in case I end up stretching it to a 700 some day.

Can't speak for the savox motor, but I had an align 800mx in a 700 class heli and it's got more power than anyone can use, so i can only imagine it would take anything you throw at it in your 630 even if you decide to stretch it later.

i have 4035 560kv at 390g and 800mx at 510g.. 120g additional weight for the heli if u use on 630. recomended by factory is 4035 size.. 560kv might be better for 600sizer gobs..i had the 630 before its not light . so using lighter weight component helps

I'm gonna have to agree with this even though the original post said to keep it to just the two motors. The 800mx is heavy even in a 700 class heli.

To avoid confusion, I believe you're referring to this Xnova motor.

If you have both 'on hand' why not try both?
I agree the 800mx will be too heavy. If you want something light with good pow look at Pyro 650 / 700

I have some of both for sale if interested.

I ended up just leaving the Savox motor in it, i bought the heli used and didnt know if i wanted to swap the Savox with the 800mx, i didnt have time to test out as i had a buyer for my Trex and needed to provide a motor so i just ended up keeping the Savox as it was 50 grams lighter.

Thanks for the input.
