Default Nitro temperature telemetry

Can i safely use the SBS-01TE instead of the stupid expensive other one for measuring
the temperature of the nitro engine?

I know the 01TE has a smaller range then the 01T but the working temp would never reach 257F imho..

Or maybe an aftermarket option?

thanks

The T is an extra $20.

You've already got probably $500 into the TX and a couple thousand into the heli...... but $20 is gonna break the bank?

Looking at the sensors, regardless of whether it would overheat - how do you plan to attach the electric motor thermal sensor to the head of your nitro??

The T version also has very long wire and also needs to be glued in place some way.
I will find a way to fit it to the engine.. and the sensor is locally available.

Well.. it works. But i do have my motor tune pretty well, the telemetry registers peaks of 120 degr C on the head when i load it up good.. maybe this sensor is too sensitive?
