I know Steve posted a couple. It was my hope that adding content to this thread and bumping it would encourage someone to post their videos. Plus yes I do love to share and it works awesome to review progress even if it's not that much and even though there's still a huge gap between sim and reality.

You really love those goblins, dont you.

Btw, how do you record your videos?

What i personally would like to see is what you are going to practice in each video. Like, this vid is mostly for flips and rolls, or for funnels, transitions from upright to inverted. I like to see how others train themselfes and on what they are working and if i can see some progress on the next videos. I like when things start to get better and better, because the training is paying off.
And i maybe would see some different approaches to learn certain maneuvers.
You know for the time when you get stuck.

My training sessions are not cut out for public viewing. There would just be a lot of crashing or sloppy flying, because i always do and train things which i am not good at (there are so many things ).

Oh yeah! I am an incorrigible SAB fanboy. I have 4 Goblins each with its SAB carry bag, SAB hex tools in their SAB case and a SAB case for my radio. Oh and I am trying to get enough SAB towels to use on my heli shelving. I only have 3 need 3 more

I use OBS Studio to record. It is a bit tricky to setup at first. I really seem to have gotten it working by trial and error. All I know is that I have both Display Capture and Game Capture modes enabled which is the only way to capture AccuRC and also allows you to capture neXt but I am using AccuRC 90% of the time. But I had a hard time I might have changed some setting I did not document to make it work. But it records using the graphics card so you don't get stutter while you record like other screen capture applications.

Indeed training videos are boring. I try to record after I have finished my training. What I am trying is to get myself into a "training routine" before my flights.

4 minutes (I have a timer of 4:10 to allow for spool-up which on AccuRC that simulates battery use sometimes I get all the way down to 0% battery LOL) each:

1. Upright piro hover. At the 2 minute mark, change rudder direction.
2. Same thing as 1 but inverted.
3. Upright figure 8's. At the 2 minute mark, change circuit direction.
4. Same as 3 but upright backwards.
5. Same as 3 but inverted forward.
6. Same as 3 but inverted backwards.

I will warn you it is exhausting and hard to keep at it. If I crash I start that exercise again until all 4 minutes finish without a crash. After that I go to "fun" mode and start goofing around. I know I need to get my 8's really dialed in and on muscle memory before I can move to funnels but I practice them anyways while having fun. Definitely as each 8 gets slowly better I can see the funnels improve as well. I will commonly on fun time transition from a circuit to a funnel. You will need around 1.5 to 2 hours to go through this training routine and still have time for fun and recording.

My ultimate goal is to have:

1. Upright funnel, both directions.
2. Inverted funnel, both directions.
3. Nose-down funnel, both directions.

I hope I can make it practicing that through winter, coupled with a few other things I want to incorporate into my regular flying:

1. Static flips
2. FFF while doing flips
3. Keep trying to get tail down and aileron tic tocs more locked in.
4. FFF while doing rolls

With that I think I can finally call myself a beginner 3D pilot

Uff thats a long training session of 2h. My brain would die a slow but painfull death with gain after reviving it.
If i really concentrate on my stuff i can see how i make failures after 15min or slightly before. Everything i fly longer will not gain so much, but is still fun if i dont try too hard.

What helped me to progress faster is to change the training routine a lot.
I tried sticking at figure 8 really long and eventually got frustrated and thought all i am doing is 8 and still they are not good enough. So i switched to flips and rolls too funnels and back to figure 8, just to notice they got magically better without training them.
For me is the key to change what i want to train and also change the speed and size. Especially slower and smaller are a great boost for me.

I think you should join the discord channel, then we could fly together at some points. Lately i try to fly all my sessions online, hoping that somebody will join. (now will go online flying...:-) )

I know! Most people get burned out on the sim after a few minutes. But I forced myself to sim this long because I can usually only sim Saturday mornings which is the time I use when weather is good to fly for real. So instead of going out to fly I am focused on sim practice. It is hard to stay focused but I really want to progress. When I picked up the sim I finished this last season doing inverted forward and upright backwards circuits so that was a big deal for me. I truly believe that constant sim practice will help me gain the confidence to try for real once my brain "gets it".

Sometimes I work from home and I take a break and sim for a bit but that is not very common. I also do the same try to go and create a room online see if someone joins but then I just disconnect and that also allows me to keep focusing on my training, as the online adds a big chat box that gets in the way

I am convinced that if I keep trying hard at the basics that the rest will start to fall into place. So I try to never forget about piro hovers even if I want to practice figure 8's or circuits. Try to start out with just a bit of warmup say only one virtual battery (4 minutes) of piro hover and then do what you usually do. I think it really helps to keep building from the ground up.

My next step after I get all my orientation flight is to start making my flight space smaller. I know people recommend to fly on a gym on the sim to achieve that. I think that's a good idea but only when you are starting to work on just getting the flight envelope shorter not really trying to still understand your basics. I think I will be flying proficiently (the way I see it in my head) in about 3 years at least at this pace

I used the gym fairly early just to check where i am clearly lacking. Coming back to the gym after 2 to 3 weeks was always a joy, because i noticed how i got a bit better.
Since i am a beginner of course i do a lot of basic training, but doing some advanced stuff in the sim did let me progress a bit faster and they are improving the basics a lot too, since you will need them to get the advanced stuff a bit better.
Hmm i only had one guy joining my session so far, so cant say if it would distract me from training.
