What do you use to record the videos? FRAPS, or similar, or something built-in to the simulator?
Thanks!

I use Nvidia Shadow Play or OBS for video capture.

Hello,

Could you please show the Transmitter Sticks, the next time you do another demo. As I would like to learn some of your moves. Also please mention if you are using Stock Settings of the heli model.

Thank you

Nice flying

Just curious - Is it possible to get rid of the indicators on the right side of the screen?

Ever since I loaded Steam my internet speed has dropped (from 30Mbps) to around 7Mbps - always - even when not using Steam. Not happy with that. What's it doing in the background ? Is it possible to keep AccuRC installed but uninstall Steam ?

Thanks

If only I could gather the courage to do half of this on real life . . .

I asked the same question to Ade there is currently no option to remove those gauges. I will pop the question again maybe they'll build it into the schedule of things to do.

I never have that issue with Steam. Maybe it is updating in the background in your case. I would just let it for a good while to ensure if finishes if it is doing something and see if that improves. You CAN use AccuRC offline though. It will give you an error message but you can run it without being connected to the Internet. But your problem seems to be when you want to go to the Internet and something gobbling up your bandwidth. I would use an anti-spyware software not just an antivirus though. I personally like Malwarebytes.

I can categorically say that this isnt Steam doing this, you can check for sure but clicking on "downloads" at the bottom centre of the Steam client it will show you network and disk activity.

You can double check by going to speedtest.net and running a speed test, then quit the Steam client in the system tray and doing it again.

If that's slow for both then you know its either a problem with your computer, wifi or internet connection. Try opening "resource monitor" in windows and clicking the network tab that will show you what traffic is flowing on your network if nothing much showing there then:

If you are on wifi try plugging into the router and doing another speed test. If that's still slow then contact your ISP and get them to check the line.

Lastly, Steam client is required for license authentication and updates.

Thanks guys! I still have some experimenting to do.

There is another PC (Windows7) about 5 feet from the one I'm using (both wireless network) that's getting 30Mbps, but it's a much older system (2008). The one I'm using is brand new (Windows10), only a month or two old. It was also getting 30Mbps before Steam. Good thing is I haven't installed much on it so far.

I did contact my ISP last week and was measuring around 100Mbps using my cell phone wi-fi though.

I'll try direct connect to the router and see what happens to both PCs data rates. I understand wireless is slower than direct connect, but really convenient.

Just not looking forward to another 3+ hr download if I uninstall/re-install Steam/AccuRC for debugging purposes.

Sounds like you're going to need to build yourself a beater heli, something really cheap heli to try new maneuvers on to. It has to be dirt cheap to crash and repair. Many many times over. This is an expensive hobby that we have.

I tried direct Ethernet cable to my modem today (and turned wi-fi off). Same thing - 10Mbps

Did some more investigating and I found out what was robbing my download speed - SMARTBYTE !
It’s supposed to prioritize your bandwidth so things like windows update and Dropbox don’t freeze your video streaming. Something Dell includes with new systems.

I turned it off and guess what - my download speeds are back. I can once again watch 1080p videos on YouTube!

Evidently it doesn’t always work correctly and in my case everything was throttled down to 10 Mbps. It must have gotten reconfigured during a recent update because I was getting decent speeds before, according to Speedtest.

Must have been coincidental in timing when I purchased AccuRC, installed Steam, 3+ hours, etc. Right after I got the PC it was updating for like a week straight (?)

I'm overdue for a video ...

AccuRc (0 min 59 sec)

Fraps, Movie Studio Platinum, a little zoom, a little crop, etc.

The low head speed simulations are the best I've seen so far. The sound, the look of the blades, the response of the heli, excellent!

I haven't practiced on the Simulator, as much as I should. I kinda lost the motivation, probably because I've been busy with other things in life. I thought I'd try this new Glogo model, to give me a chance to practice some tic tocs.

Testing out the New Nvidia GRD Driver 436 02 (1 min 59 sec)

Just testing out the new nvidia driver. Nothing fancy, just doing some basic moves. Using the Agile heli model, all stock settings.

So far I'm not experiencing any of the bugs that some people have reported. Which is a good sign. I forgot I had D/R enabled in that flight. I was too busy looking at the CPU and GPU usage.

My PC stuttered a little bit but only while on battery power as I have it set to reduce performance in order to save battery life. Once plugged in didn't really had any issues. Awesome sim.

Not a particularly great flight, but it's the only one I recorded lol. Flew to The Search by NF. OBS didn't record the sim's sound unfortunately, so there's only music.

Your “not particularly good flight” beats my best flight by a long shot. Nice work.
