Align also said the reason people were stripping tail gears was that they were being too hard on the sticks and totally not because the haven't increased the size of those gears since 2007 and they are now undersized for the monster electric motors people are using these days.

where did Align say this ? and of course your leaving out the fact that they have changed the plastic to a much stronger plastic , and that stripped gears is many times due to wrong backlash or improper gov settings.
did you CALL Align customer support and talk to Tim ?

looks like you got the old Gold color trex 700e pinion which had that problem of the metal being too soft, the pinion would wear and if not changed in time the teeth would fail and strip, the fix was they switch to a harder pinion which is a silver color

the problem is , when they update the pinion, its still has old pinion from the dealers they didnt do any recall or issue stop selling that old problem pinion, which they continue to sell it. and the old information didnt remove it . so i got the old pinion instead of the upgraded one.

align refuse to solve the issue.. guess i just blame on my luck then.
