Not a good spot for that. This area holds the tail box and center frame to the carbon frame sides. Lots of stress here.

^^^That's a good idea for landing gear...not so much for rear frames

Oxy4. Not out yet.
Goblin 380. Just don't break the tail boom!
Too hard to answer. You'll get so many answers.

I've crashed my 470lp so hard many times and thought it was done. Cost 5 bucks and some blades. Parts are dirt cheap either way.

I've crashed my goblin 380 and just a canopy and blades. Some have crashed it and had a rekit. Parts are not cheap though.

We all crash differently and all crashes are different.

I saw a nice one on Ebay. Looks like it has a lot of spare parts also.

Crashes are always different

Here is my 470lp after attempting to fly with 1 blade upside down

New landing gear, main gear, main shaft, tail shaft tail hub, landing gear, vertical fin, horizonal stabilizer, tail blades and.main blades. The 470 was about 120 plus blades.Probably should have rekit.

And my goblin 380 after a tail down crash, just.new blades, canopy repair and a servo horn. It was a miricle

But I've also done 50$ in damage on A g380 after a tail touch

Yup. Exactly. Ya never know. I've done some simple tail down hits that looked like nothing and 75 bucks later I'm scratching my head. I put my Protos 500 into my dock inverted so hard one time that the noise echoed around the area like a shotgun blast. 1 blade, 1 blade grip, both canopy mounts, 1 servo link, 2 servo arms and the spindle. Walking over to it in was like "ugh this is a rekit". Couldn't believe it. Back in the air 20 mins later.

So, cost of parts is the primary criteria of damage cost.

No,

So I like my g380 because of how easy it is to repair. Time is money for some folks, so there is that

Probably crashed my X3 25 times, still have the original (very patched up) canopy. Average cost less than $10 to $12 once I found the really cheap main blades. You can get 2 pairs shipped for around $12 if you look hard.

I have used a lot of tail booms and breakaway servo horns. I buy two of whatever breaks so I have a spare on hand to get right back in the air. Anything Heli is your friend.

Very true. The range will be broad. But just seeing what others are noticing. In the past my Trex 450 sport v2 costs $50-60 whereas my Trex 550 costs $120-140 per crash.

Mainly how much more does it cost for a g380 since the x3/470L/oxy4 should probably be close to one another

Well, you have the boom on a Goblin that is 9 times the cost of a 470l boom. Then, which 470 are you going to compare? The metal version parts cost more than plastic, but things break less on my metal version than my plastic.

Over-all a Goblin is going to cost more to crash. Parts are more expensive although it is tough and beefy.

You usually damage the boom, skids, blade grip arms, vertical fin and/or bearings. In a bad crash on the G380

Spindle and main shaft are pretty robust.

So those replaceable blade grip arms work out well then on the g380? Always wondered.

Thanks. As for the 470 version could compare both. LP and LM/LT

It's been mentioned before: Protos 500.

Can be had 2nd hand cheap (sold mine on a while ago).

430 to 470 sized bird that really takes abuse well.
Spare parts are cheap and it is quickly fixed and flying again.

I bombed mine in so badly that i had to practically dig it out of the mud.
The thud noise made sure this is a rekit. At first I thought it is since the plastic frame broke. Then I found out that a frame half costs 15 €.
