I think your antenna is damaged.Perhaps make another one by unsoldering the old one and use a bit of suitable wire to make a new one?

I don't think it needs to be special wire anything of the same diameter will be OK I think but the length needs to be the same.

My one looks pretty vulnerable and I might beef it up with hot glue.

Ha that is not how I have been doing it, but alas I still get the same red solid light. Thank you for the bind clarification, still jiggling wires over here.

Hardly to believe that it's a bad controller and needs to be replaced, but that's just my experience and opinion with this heli.

I would replace the battery and controller connector for JST.
If not, take it apart, find a needle and insert that needle in ESC and battery connector, pull connector from housing and see if they are OK, re align those pins, may be giving you a false connection.
Disconnect everything and start from fresh, maybe tail motor wires have a nick and are touching main shaft.

That's for me a power issue, but I could be wrong

I will try everything, but I am about to chalk this one up as a parts bird, I got another one coming in the mail. When I find out what part is doing this I will update it to this thread, Thanks everyone for the suggestions and happy flying!
