Default DX18 - 'Dipped'

So the weather has been terrible here and i've been bored so i got to thinking i might try my hand at Hydro-dipping. My trusty Spektrum DX18 was the first thing that came to hand, so here's the end result:

I'm pretty pleased with it for a first attempt. What do you think?

Wow. That does look so awesome. I am interested in learning more about this Hydro-dipping process.

I’ve seen alloy car hubs dipped, so I’d imagine Aluminium would be possible?

Pretty much anything that you could paint can be dipped. Metal parts would be no problem at all as long as you use the right primer and base coat.

There are lots of videos online that show the process, it's not difficult.

That's a fantastic job. You're right about the weather here. I'm going crazy and the sim just doesn't make up for proper heli flying!
