Default Freewing Lippisch P.15 64mm EDF Jet

This my review for the Freewing Lippisch P.15 64mm EDF Jet. It is a beautiful RC Plane with an interesting history.

This is the maiden flight review:

Here are the Pros and Cons for this German Concept Jet EDF Flying Wing:

Pros:
- Nice long flight times for an EDF Jet
- It looks amazing
- This is a rare RC Model
- Very stable
- Has a wide flight envelope

Cons:
- A pilot figure would have been great

This is the second flight that shows off the hand launch MUCH better than the maiden. My GF recorded both launches:

Nice review. Everything you say about this plane is true. I know you've seen my video but I'll post it here at Helifreak as well.

I was torn between the FW Lippsch and the FW F-22 Raptor (4S) for an EDF trainer, since both have ample wing area, but ultimately decided on the F-22 for a couple of reasons. I wish the Lippsch came with a 12-bladed fan; I think the whine of that 5-blader would drive me batty after a while.

I may still pick up a Lippsch at some point and maybe swap in a different EDF unit with a 12-blade fan.

I understand that choice. I have had my eyes on that one for a while. Let us know how you like it!

Iíll start a separate thread once I can snap a photo of the assembled model. The comments on RCG have indicated that itís capable of being a docile flyer with significant float.

It "floats" only by virtue of the fact that it comes in quite fast. It just seems that it takes forever to touch down. Once it gets near it's stall speed, which is still a good clip, it'll drop dramatically.

This is a Test Flight with the Enfan 3S 1500 45C Lipo battery in it. I flew it with mixed throttle most of the flight. I also did a couple tricks, including a roll and my very first loop with this plane.*

I had a lot of fun flying this through wildfire smoke with my new 1800 75C lipo battery!

This is my latest flight and could be considered a "long-term review"
