Default How to replace mainshaft bearings

Hi guys,

I bought a used exo and I would like to replace the bearings that the main shaft goes through in the frames.

Is it possible? The manual says they are factory installed. Can I get them out? Should I heat them up to do so?

First, try lightly tapping the bearings out from the opposite side. Second, heat the tube and try tapping them out. So, yes, it is possible!

Iíll give that a try. When I re install, should I use the green bearing retaking compound?

Also, if so, what brand of bearing retaining compound should I use?

Green and Loctite. I don't know the number off the top of my head but get bearing retaining.

It's #641 for the medium strength and #680 for the high strength permanent.

I was thinking #641 so it'll come apart later

If it's bearing retaining, then 641.

What Scott said!

And yes, I have changed the main shaft bearings in one of my eXo's.
