Default First LHS Attempt, Diabolo 6S

Decided to give a 6S flight (on my 12 S setup) a try after reading so much about it on this forum.
That was really fun! My setup is;
Diabolo 700
695 cyclones
19t pinion for a 10.33 gear ratio
Xnova 4530 500
CC160hv
13.5* pitch
Speed up tail pulley.
I was carrying both 5000 lipos, but only connecting one. Rpm averaged about 1020 @ 100% throttle. Next, I'll dedicate a 5000 lipo from my 550 to this setup so I can carry just the one pack and drop some weight.
I find it amazing that you still have that much lift at basically half power.

Cool! The thing is, when you cut the headspeed in half it actually only uses about 1/4 of the power because the blade drag is not linear.

So it seems very strange at first. At 1000 headspeed you can still do all sorts of moves but it does require a good bit of compensating on the sticks. I find that at around 1300 and a little more pitch range I can basically fly pretty much the same as I used to at 1800 (I'm still running 12s though, just gearing for lower headspeeds but I can use very small packs if I want).

I can definitely tell it's more efficient. And my Castle seems to really like the higher PWM, whether it be 6S or 12S. The rpm bogs a lot more @1700 12s than it does at both 1900 12S and 1000 6S.
I'm excited about being able to fly both 12S and 6S on my 700 and not have to invest in more lipos right now.
And the sound at 1000 rpm is just really cool too!
