Default Can not get full travel

Really new to all this.
Using the Spartan studio to do initial Pico setup and on the travel screen the travel on all 4 channels is just over 50% in both directions!
Even if I max out travel adjust on the TX its still way off 100%
I can not see anywhere in the setup to increase.
Help anyone?

Do you have dual rates enabled in the Tx? Does the output monitor on the Tx show the full 100% or more servo movement?

Even on the monitor the movement is not 100%
Iwould say 50%!
I have been through all the settings in the tx and can not find anything like rates etc turned on or activated.
I will have to look up on the radio

What transmitter, and did you begin with a completely new model in the transmitter?

JR DSX9 and on a reset model memory.
I have not been able to try yet BUT reading on the Spartan site it says to select 1 servo 90deg in the software.
In my radio the only thing I did select was 120 deg swash!!!
I am going to set to 1 servo and see what happens

120 swash is definitely wrong, and will send it all crazy. The mixing is all handled in the FBL controller on nearly all FBL units including the Vortex.

Single servo, 90 deg, H1, normal, or no mixing, are different ways in which it can be described, but always it amounts to discreet channels being sent by your radio with no mixing in the Tx. Just like you would for a simple plane.

120 swash in your Tx mixes the channels together, so that when you send elevator, for example, it also moves the other channels somewhat too. In this configuration they all move a little less, because it is sort of shared effort, plus in here you often have a swash mix percentage, which is often set at 60%, which would lower the travel you would see even more.

Anyway, glad you've cracked it. This is definitely your issue.

Sutty, you are right about the 120 deg messing things up.
Once I set TX to 1 servo swash things got better.
I could get full travel and the setup went much better. Got a bit more to do in setup at later point.
