Default Align 700N blades

I'm looking at blade options and been thru these blades;
NHP 680C
V-blades
SAB Red Devil
Radix SB's
Cyclones

The blades I like using on my Whiplash nitro is the Radix SB's. It's a good all around blade for me.

I see Align has 700N blades (yellow marked blades)

How do they compare to the Radix SB's?

Don't know about Align blades but I see your missing Rail from your list which I can highly recommend

We were talking blades at the Align flight school at IRCHA and the Align guys told me that these are lighter blades which are better for nitro helis. But you don't get as much out of them on autorotations.

Give the new Rotor Tech 700 Ultimates or the 690FBL/3Ds a try. I am sure you will like them.

VTX 697 or VTX 717
Unf***ing beatable for a nitro
I ran 697 on my Trex 700N and run them on my Goblin 700 BN

The Protos Max Nitro was thoroughly beta tested using the 717
Johnny31297 and Number like this.

Running Rail 716's on mine. Awesome blades and nice and light which helps a lot. Auto's forever and has crazy collective pop for a nitro. (120srx)

I'd run 700mm or less if running a 96 or smaller. On a 105/120, a good gear ratio, and good tune 710mm+ is not problem.

Do you happen to have the actual weights from your Rails? I've heard a lot of good things about them, but light is never one of them.

The Rail 716's are 196.7g.

For context here's some other blades I have:

Radix V2 710mm: 202g
Edge 695mm: 175g
Helix 695mm: 185g (Huge blade root requires no shims)

For length to weight ratio, the Rails are quite light. I threw on my Radix blades on the nitro just for fun and did not like them at all. They are wide chord and bogged the motor down during hard moves. I run these on my 12S machine.

The Edge 695's (FB blades) are surprisingly good. These are my test blades in most circumstances but, on a nitro rig, fly really well obviously due to weight and because their COG allows for quick cyclic response. Box flying and quick/tight moves are fun with these blades, but they lack collective authority, don't auto that great, and don't quite track well in big air/power moves.

The Rail's have a perfect balance of all of the above. They do all the big air stuff well and remain crisp and fast in rolls/flips as well. The 695mm's are really the ticket on a nitro, but with a 120srx, 8.0 gear ratio, and 22.5%, the machine can haul the 716's without any issue.

There is no point in solely posting weights. The CG plays an even larger role in how the blade will behave, so please always post CG distance from bolt hole as well.

Interesting, those are indeed lighter than I expected.
