I mounted the Spirit Pro on top of the boom box a little further back for better access to the cyclic servos and drilled holes in the frame plates for easy access to the sat ports. I too will be mounting a Geolink on my Oxy 4, so you will be just fine as far as sat port access is concerned by doing the same.

Does the Spirit Pro fit in the frame of the OXY 4 / Max? Can an owner show pictures?

Regards
Dave

Thank you!

It looks very narrow. Does it touch the frame?

It slides in nicely, but there really isn't any wiggle room to spare.

The blades that come with the kit (and are mounted) are 70mm.

72mm should also fit, e.g. for even lower speed setups.

With as much room as you had to spare on the back, couldnt you have just slid to the rear some vice drilling? Looks like you had more than enough cable, lol. One of the biggest things that I dont like about spirit is the form factor. Impossible to get a clean looking install. The reason I also hate the mini version of brain/ikon, vertical connections. Seems like it would be easy enough to go horizontal.

Here are my 325 and 360. Max shows tomorrow, hopefully. I chose to put my FBL on the bottom like the Oxy 3. Some say that it is better protected on the top. IME, this just isn't true. Every crash is different and I crash more inverted than I do upright. I do tend to fly in light rain a lot, so maybe it helps there also. And as many crashes as I have had in the early days with the Oxy 3, some very violent and even upright, the FBL never was touched.

And here is my 380 max. My AUW is 1052g. Even with that weight, as a frame of reference it is only about 25g heavier than my P380 EVO, which is the lightest thing I have flown.

Only flew one test flight. I started with a pretty low headspeed and it was incredible down low at 1600rpm. Flips, rolls no problem. Needed some tail tuning tweaks, but other than that really smooth at that speed. Flew mostly at 2000, which may end up being my low speed, or possibly 2200. Used an 1800 pack and after a 5min flight had 3.95 per cell, which says to me an easy 7min if I stayed at 2000 or possibly could go higher and still get 7min. Adjusted to 12.7 pitch.

My beta kit came with 71mm plastic tail blades. Plan to stay with Switch mains for now but have Zeal and R/T also to test out.
Need to finish setting up telemetry and make some tweaks and will be ready to open it up some.

For those planning to use the Tareq motor be prepared to extend the flat spot on the shaft. Takes seconds with right tool. Pinion does have 2 grub screws but I wanted at least one on a flat area for safety. Can't speak to other Xnova motors.
