Default Tip to make your logo 500/600 canopy sit right

To make your logo 500/600 canopy sit nicely at the rear (see pic):

-leave out the spacers for the canopy posts and install the posts
-install canopy and tuck the left side under the right side
-trim the left side with some curved scissors to make the ends meet nicely

Done

Hope it helped someone, i like my helis to look perfect!
I have done this on my 500 and 600 3D helis

My brand new L600 with stock painted FG Canopy will not close in the rear. Does yours???
I am using the front standoffs that came with the kit but I really dont see where anything I could change at this point would make a difference because there is only about 2mm on each side before the canopy actually hits the frame anyway.
To add, they actually overlap near the top, almost like it was cut at an angle on one side. And no...its not touching anything.
Added pics...

My stock L500 canopy does not even come close to closing up at the rear... never been a problem though. I just fly it..

rotoryguy,

It looks like the left side of the canopy is riding on some wires at the back. I've had this happen before depending on how I did the wiring. Either alter the wiring, or dremel out some relief areas to allow the canopy to find its natural "set".

Also, if wires anywhere on or around the frames that touch the canopy on the inside (the ESC to motor, or ESC to battery wires are notorious for this), then it will skew how the canopy sits, and the rears won't line-up.

Short of some minor touch-ups like helicraze points out, they usually fit nicely.

I will be going the dremel route as I am 100% sure the canopy is not touching any wiring.

The last canopy I got from mikado was perfect, no trimming required!
