![]() ![]() So far I've printed a couple parts to modify my FrSky X10S as well as a couple random things. Having a little trouble getting the print to stick to the bed sometimes but that should be fixed when my glass bed arrives.

![]() Get your nozzle .05 closer to the bed. Unless you're already too close it should help with better adhesion.

![]() with blue tape I can get it to stick by first applying the tape then wiping the top with 99% alcohol (idk why it makes it stick but it does lol).
Idk how I'd move the nozzle closer a specific amount, the bed adjustment uses screws.

![]() Successfully gotten a few prints so far. The first ones were mods for my X10S.
Switch nut cap (I removed the switch) ![]() Added a charging port for modded LiPo replacing the LiIon and stock charger (the printed thing is the bracket holding the 5-pin connector you see above the battery) ![]()

![]() I just noticed the tape you're using. I have had issues with that specific tape. I get WAY better adhesion with blue tape from Harbor Freight. I think that 3m tape has a super slick polymer applied that gives bad adhesion, makes sense for painting. Anyhow, the other stuff sometimes sticks too well, and I found a bed temp below 40c (37c specifically, for me) and a little ABS juice gives great adhesion and the part pops right off when done.

![]() Yea the blue tape sucked lol. I ended up using regular masking tape until I got my glass bed and now I use that and Elmer's glue stick. Much better results.

Try some extra hold hair spray. I used to use glue sticks also but it gets messy after a few prints. Hair spray wipes off easy with warm water. |

![]() Yeah but glue made my initial layer look a bit messy compared to the nice smooth surface you get printing on glass. You may not need as much glue (and works well for you) since you're limited to smaller prints. Larger prints is where things get tricky with glue. At least for me it did. Much easier to just spray a nice thin coat and you're done. |

![]() Hairspray do wonders... Just make sure to apply it carefully as you can contaminate the fans. What I do is I remove the glass bed, apply hairspray all over it and replace on the heat bed. Cleans easily with warm water and you don't have to apply for every piece you print.

![]() This is an old thread, I've been using a removable textured PEI bed for a while now and I'll never use anything else.
