Default OXY 2 or 3 ??

I have Oxy 2 FE 210 and Oxy 4 360.

My place is near to the small field, about half soccer field size roughly.
I am beginner and going to start inverted flying and afraid to try on Oxy 4.
I predict there will be more crashes and don't want to wait repair time.
So want to get another Oxy, that will reduce down time.

For Budget,
I prefer Oxy2 , as I have all the electronic and only need kit.
Oxy3, I only have a motor.

For Learning
I am not sure which one is more suited for me.

Can you guy advise me which one, 2 or 3 ?

Thank you.

If you're learning and the main goal is to reduce downtime with minimal cost, I would get a second Oxy 2. They can share parts, and are less likely to take damage in a crash than the Oxy 3, especially if you get good with throttle hold.

On the other hand, if you'd like to try the Oxy 3, and don't mind keeping a second set of spares, there's nothing wrong with that route. Either way, you don't need that many spares.

Yup, two of the same model is great when learning. One pool of spares, easy to swap parts between them if you're troubleshooting and aren't quite sure what needs replacing.

And if you have the electronics already it's a no brainer :-)

What they all said - another OXY2 stretch, as well as all of the reasons above an OXY3 can get fast very quickly and half a football pitch could be covered in a few seconds

The Oxy 3 makes a great trainer. EZ to repair and I never stripped a servo. You can be up and flying after most crashes in 30 mins or less. That said cant go wrong with either.

The Oxy2 bounces well too. I managed to mess up an inverted flip yesterday, bounce the tail off the floor, and watch it flip back upright under throttle hold.

Zero damage.

A few minutes later I bounced the skids on the floor from 2 feet up after messing up a baby auto.

Zero damage.

I've never had a Heli in this size range that can take a hit like the Oxy.
