Default Indoor/outdoor settings on a Dx7s

I like to have a lower headspeed, flatter throttle response and less servo travel when flying indoors.
But I only have two Flight modes on my Dx7s, and I only fly in stunt mode( Safe mode drifts)
So to set the two modes on the F mode switch without invoking Safe mode,
I assigned Gear to Hold instead of flight mode, then reversed Gear.
So on throttle hold its in safe mode ( blue led) but it switches to stunt mode (red led) and stays that way. Switching between normal and stunt mode gives me my prefered setups for indoor or outdoor flying.

Interesting idea! So, I presume having Safe Mode associated with the hold button prevents the tail rotor from spinning when Hold is engaged?

Now I'm thinking it'd be neat to have three unSafe modes on my DX9, lol.

Yes the tail motor only spins up when I disengage hold. I find it useful to get confirmation that the tail motor has started prior to spooling up the main, having had a dodgy tail motor that sometimes didn't start which caused the heli to fling itself on its side when the main started up.
