This is what I found on MSH Europeís site.

They say two weeks to being restocked. With 700X kits.

We will see.

I remain optimistic, until told otherwise.

There is still a good supply of spare parts @ MSH USA.

Unfortunately they have this 2 weeks note since many weeks. Not really encouraging.

I saw the huge Black Friday sale and was like hell yeah thatís a good deal! Too bad my boss hands out bonuses at first of year. Figured they would be back in stock by now (700x evo)! Hard to support a helicopter when it is never in stock!

That Black Friday deal was so good I thought it felt like a clearance sale. Unfortunately it appears that it may very well have been.

Worst come to worst I'm gonna stockpile some shafts, belts, booms, and frames and fly until I can't. Hopefully it doesn't get there quite yet.

First I must say I'm a MSH Protos fan. Love the simplicity, flight characteristics, and the innovation of the design. But, I'm starting to get a bit nervous as I see signs of concern. eg. canceling of the nitro Protos, kits unavailable for long periods of time (USA and Europe), greater than normal BF discounts, various comments from HF members, and lack of direct comments from MSH on this specific topic.

Am I over reacting? Thoughts? A quick comment from OnTheSnap would put my mind at ease.

OTS hasn't been saying anything at this time. I'm thinking he isn't really certain how things will play out himself at this point either. He usually tells people everything he knows.

As a MSH distributor, I'm not happy about the situation. Ultimately, I can't speak for Italy or their plans for the future.

I don't think your concerns are unfounded, and you are not overreacting.

My 2c.

I really hope you guys don't get screwed too badly in the end. I appreciate all you've done for the hobby. And I'm still excited for the future of the Brain.

So you're saying there is a chance MSH may not die? Nothing's confirmed yet?

Obviously I can't speak for Otis, but from what I understand, MSH USA is the one that might be on the way out. MSH Italy probably won't be going anywhere, but I don't know where that leaves part support in North America.

I didn't realize that Rik *is* MSH Electronics and not just part of it. I've had lots of interaction with him and he's great to work with.

The view from Australia is also that we can't get parts or kits via our distributor, because they can't get them from MSH. So sounds like issues with things in Italy 😞

Yes, Rik is awesome. He just stepped in to help me troubleshoot an issue with my brain equipped oxy 2, even though the problem isnít brain related.

What's the likelihood of someone being able to take over production? Like Lynx or someone? I have no idea how these businesses operate so I might be asking an impossible question.

Default Still Love My P500

I've been flying the P500 since 2011 and am still completely satisfied with it.
It has really withstood the test of time. My favorite things about it:
-Flight performance (Very light)
-Wonderfully smooth, quiet, and tough drivetrain (Belt)
-Reasonably priced kits and parts (Smart mix of high quality plastic and metal where needed)

Would be sad to see it go.

Can you elaborate where you heard that? Kits are out worldwide. I've needed a canopy magnet for my Protos 380 since before IRCHA and they've been out of stock WW. Seems like it's more than a local problem to us in the US.

Has anyone seen any MSH Italy representation on this forum? Sounds like that's where we need to get our insights to the future of MSH.

Still holding out hope... maybe I'm being naive.

The last time that HighFreq (Corrado from MSH) looked at this forum was at 04-20-2018. So I don't expect any response from MSH Italy here.

On the other hand BrainDev is still actively participating so the Brain platform hopefully is doing OK.

Years ago, I was sitting on a train platform writing postcards that started with: "Greetings from sunny Italy where the hourly train is 3 hours late, so far." It's a wonderful place, but you shouldn't get hung up on the idea of things being on-time.
15 years ago my wife and I were in Italy. The tour guide pointed out that even though there is scaffolding on many of the buildings, you don't see anybody on them working.

I rebuilt an Italian dive compressor we used for refilling the on board breathing air on the hydroplane. It took multiple calls to Italy and about 3 months to get the parts.

All that said, the MSH situation sounds bad. I get the feeling my Protos is going on the shelf next to my Compass helicopter, Cyclone blades, and Phoenix sim dongle.

If I remember correctly, the brain /ikon brand was bought out form msh by Rik last year.

That msh would let that go is telling.

Or maybe the brain was a cash negative and Rik thinks he can do it better?

Getting parts has been an issue starting last spring/summer. It's not just after the black Friday sale.

I went through this with my compass exo. You all known what happened there. That's after the reps on this board going on and on about "oh just production issues. No worries." I'm not blaming them, as they didn't know at the time.

This strikes a similar chord.

If true, it's more devastating news for our hobby. That really sucks.

On the positive, they just recently released the 700X and upgrade parts. So..... That's odd.

I don't think Alex can tell us exactly what's going on with MSH EU. Either he can't or maybe he isn't being told everything yet.

Putting him on the spot here publicly and asking is not fair.

This does sound like serious cash flow issues though. Selling off msh electronics may have been the last-ditch effort to save msh heli with a small one-time cash infusion.

Is that what happened? Will it work?

I sure as hell don't know. It's speculation.
