You are very gracious. I do blame them to some extent because 'if they dont know' then they shouldn't have offered such categorical assurance, they should have been honest and said they didn't know. We got the same thing with JR and with Compass, complete and utter denial that there were any problems, despite the mounting evidence to the contrary.

OTS is being far more honest. If he doesnt know at least he's saying so, he doesnt try to fob peoples genuine concerns off

I don't know if the reps were being told something else though. Who knows for sure. I do know they were helpful and good people when I needed help on the exo and getting parts. A nightmare overall though.

So glad I no longer own the exo.

I continued to enjoy my Whiplash long after Miniature Aircraft folded. I plan to continue enjoying the Protos ride just the same for as long as it lasts.

Unfortunate, but not surprising. I was very interested in the Protos as my “next build” over a year ago. I priced out the 800, and kept checking their site for availability. I sent emails wondering why “out of stock” seemed to be permanent. I have a low tolerance for waiting for repair parts, so I took this bird out of contention. I was sincerely hoping they would get a handle on their business model, I too bemoan any shrinking of brands in the space. Here’s hoping they figure it out, it certainly is not easy.

Hey guys -
Today I learned some good news. Iím happy to say long term support of the brand is in very good (new) hands. And the current supply situation will be behind us by spring.

There will be more official announcements in the coming days. During this time you will likely see the current landscape for MSH support change. But my sense is the long term outlook is a good one.

Cheers,
Alex

This is most welcome and exciting news Alex! I'm relieved that they found a sustainable solution. The Protos ecosystem deserves it. Looking forward to the announcement.

I love reading that! Would hate to know my protos 380 is only a crash away from not flying. Such an awesome heli.

Alright, THIS tears it. We've been over this time and again, Stephen...

We truly didn't know. MTTEC didn't know. The Compass factory, owned by a totally different entity than MTTEC (The owner of the IP rights of the helis designed by Mr. Zajonz) shuttered the factory with ABSOLUTELY ZERO NOTICE. We were all kept in the dark of this by the owner of the factory: Luke Lao.

We honestly did not know until after the fact. Not Even Sebastian or Jurgen knew until after this happened.

Take your opinions and stuff them.

Sincerely,

An EX Compass rep.

See above... Seriously. You two are always on about this, and we have explained until blue in the face. It was kind of a bomb dropped in our laps, just as much as yours. So if you two want to be raw about it still, take it up with Luke Lao.
