Default Logo 700 main gear Lynx main gear or not?

I was told by a friend that the main gear on the Logo 700 will break and I should buy a Lynx main gear to make sure that doesn't happen. Has anyone had issues with the stock main gear?

I read this on HF. So I swapped out the main pulley with the Lynx yesterday. Relatively inexpensive compared to a failure.

So, uh, exactly why will it "break"? Other than in a crash is this just hearsay or any facts to support the claim?

No need to bother in my oppinion. If everything is built correctly then no problem stock gear works as it should.

Lynx doesn't make a main gear for the 700 logo.

Not required as long as you tighten your main shaft clamp properly.

I think there is perhaps a small confusion here. Are we talking about the Lynx pulley for the tail drive or the main gear? I think Lynx only make a tail drive pulley. If that is the case my stock tail pulley failed the other day. The pin going through the main shaft had basically stripped the plastic in the pulley. I had no vertical play in the main shaft so I know it was properly fitted. I have thus changed to the Lynx pulley as this has a metal centre piece so hopefully this wont strip again.

Lynx pulley for the tail is the upgrade. Not much money and takes 10 minutes to swap it out.

I thought the 700 has the aluminum hubbed tail pulley? I know the 690 does.
