I consider myself a DS76T evangelist.

I don't know for certain why it works, but I know that installing a DS76T fixes all sorts of 130X issues, just like magic.

It just works...

Plain and simple

The only thing I don't understand is why it took so long to be discovered

None of the locals here knew about it...and the 130X was huge in Fargo for several years after it's release

If I recall, the 76t did not enter the heli world until the 180CFX was released.
Before that the DS76, no t designation, was used but needed the servo plug to be changed.
The go to servo before that was the original DS35 released under the E-Flite brand.( They later screwed up the 35 by changing the internal servo electronics, rendering it useless.)

For purposes of this thread...

Nearly any micro-size servo will work...DS76T & TJ have plastic cases so prolly a bit lighter

DS76T
DS76TJ
KST215
H3060
BK3005

Any many others

I stand corrected, the tj is the micro plug version on the 180.

I found out about it ("discovered" is probably not quite accurate in my case, as I didn't independently find out that the DS76T works on a 130X) fairly soon after I got my first 130X, and you know where I live, Jon.

I remember we discussed it then. Once I got wise to the wonders of the DS76T, I started having a lot fewer tail issues.

If anyone else is thinking of the servo swap to the DS76T (or others) and having an issue finding the correct servo mounts...

Nexrc has (as of this writing) 10 pairs on their website (silver and red)

Red
https://www.nexrc.com/microheli-alum...=130X&limit=50

Silver
https://www.nexrc.com/microheli-alum...=130X&limit=50

The CF stiffener is easily available too...quite a few on eBay
(Drill the holes to 2mm if using the 180CFX stiffener - LX1627)
M2 x 8mm screws replace the stock and allow for the CF stiffener

Every 130X I own has the DS76T...not a single issue with any of them

Maybe you guys can help me here before I start a new thread. So there was a thread a while back like 2016 2015 about the transistor that goes out on the 3-1 unit. So I tested mine as I was having some issues with it and turned out I was getting the same results as what was said in the post so I changed it out and tried again same results.
Whags going on is that when I go to spool up the servos slow way down like they have a bad voltage drop or just lose their stability, changing that transistor kept the voltage where it should be during movements vs the old one that would drop considerably. But I'm still getting the servo lag so when I spool up it get about 1/8th of throttle input and the blades pitch right so I correct it and it will stay until I get to 1/4 throttle then it will pitch forward or backward fix it again with remote just by pulling back or pushing forward then begin spooling up to about half throttle then it tips over to the right every time. I cannot for the life of me figure out whats causing this to happen.

If you have any suggestions please feel free to let me know as I'm trying to figure this out so that I can fly this thing.

Thank you

Which transistor are you referring to? The BEC (battery elimination circuit) transistor?

Looks like the BEC. If your problem is what I think it is, it's pretty common on startup, especially on a slippery surface.

I'd put some fuel line or o-rings on the skids and fly regardless.

Its more than just at start up it just wants to tip over every time I spool up. Cannot even get it off the ground. Otherwise I would just fly it. Lol
Damn thing has me scratching my head trying to figure it out. I'm going to order a new battery for it and see if its the battery thats causing the issue. Im not sure as to how old the battery is that came with it

Hey Jeans, if you go to the stickies at the top of the 130x page you find about halfway down a thread by DoubleCH on how to fix pitch, roll and yaw rates. DoubleCH was one of the 130x gurus years back. The fix he describes is very effective for a “wandering” board which is what you describe. Try it most likely will help in your 130x tip over problem. What you are experiencing was a very common issue and was an effective remedy. Mind you this is subtrim and not trims on the face of your transmitter. Even Horizon Hobby promoted this as a tool to fix wandering swash on initialization. Run thru it and let us know if it works.
