Did you just hold a lighter on the pinion to get it off? I tried once and gave up.

Just pulled it off with a pair of pliers. It was pretty easy.

The trick is to use a pair of needle nose and pull the pinion off with the pliers as wedge... don't actually grab the pinion with them. Stick the pliers under the pinion and leverage does the rest.

Default What did you do with your Nano S2 today?

That 480 was so jealous. Great flying.

Today I finally fixed up my S2, which only involved a new feathering shaft and new blades.. my KBDD blades broke last week after a major crash.

I did have replacement KBDDs, but instead I installed a pair of MicroHeli reflective blades I found in a hidden box. They look great. I mean, the overall color scheme of the heli is ugly as poop, but the blades themselves are nice.

They flew great. Love ‘em.

Put 3 packs through the S2. Only flip practice.

Yesterday I flew the CP X. 5 packs. I really enjoy having both.

Try a different battery? I had an blade msr s that would randomly spool up and quit and so forth on one battery pack. Other packs flew fine...

Are you in 3D mode with throttle hold on? If it starts to spin when you’re in the mode above, that’s a known issue with the S2. You need to adjust the throttle output for throttle hold in some way so that it sends it out -130% if I remember correctly. .

Installed Rakon swash, DFC blade grips. Stability improved and no more of the bearing popping out of the swash after a crash. This tiny beast is almost a sim replacement, plus it is way more fun.

Tried 300mah 1S with the high power UMX adapter, longer run times but felt really bogged and less responsive to pitch commands, I would not recommend the battery. Love the 220 mag though!

Yes i have tried the throttle cut to 130% nothing helps.

Man these lower canopy mounts are soooo fragile.

I Broke them on 1st crash.
2 of my friends broke them on 1-2 crashes.

And you have to replace the whole body

Wow not liking this S2, at all

Did you tie the throttle cut option to switch H?

Throttle hold needs to be on switch 'H' (dx8g2) ... Throttle cut needs to be mixed in (not said in the manual) as Throttle hold does absolutely nothing without throttle cut as well....

Well I got my S2 a couple days ago spent 2 days trying to get it to work with mt DX6i. But to no avail . So I ordered a DX6 3G that should come in tomorrow. The little bit I have flown it and got it to be somewhat stable was enjoyable. But evetime I got it trimmed out the battery would die. When I put a new battery in I would have to re trim it all over again. Hopping with the DX6 and the better compatibility to the S2. That things will go much better

The DX6 through DX9 latest gen is great. Let us know if you need help getting that set up.

Are the setup instructions in the S2 manual accurate for the DX6?

From my memory there is one modification you need to do regarding throttle hold/throttle cut. But it’s not a DX6 issue, it’s an S2 issue. When in 3D mode, going into throttle hold does not kill the motor. So you need to modify what the transmitter sends during throttle hold from the default -100 to -130.

It’s easy to describe how to do once you get he new transmitter.
