Question Brushless recommended?

Now that the mCP S is on clearance, I guess it's days are numbered. So I'm finally going to get one.

What is the consensus on the Blade brushless upgrade?

The brushless kit is easy to install and definitely way more power than stock motor.....but, flight times are short. I have tried many different lipo brands and have not found any that provide decent flight times. I recommend a longer boom and a 7mm tail motor too.

Can you adjust throttle with the brushless upgrade in order to increase flying time, or is it basically balls-out RPM ?

I hope they are just redesigning it and mCP-S2 is on the way. Would be a shame if they discontinue it completely.

Agree.
I hope the S2 might be 2S double brushless, etc.

$110 is a great price. Plus cost of brushless...

Hard to say if there will be an upgraded version, but Horizon tends to release and discontinue helis pretty quickly...

Hi,

I have found Venom 600 mah fit with a bit of trimming of the landing gear...that with brushless main and 7mm tail motor really steps it up...

Hi all,

Iím a bit late in the mCPS party...but anyone tried HV Lipos on their mCPS with BL conversion?

As per mentioned in last post, it can handle 500-600 mah lipo. And with HV lipo its power has improved considerably even with stock brush motor. Most importantly, tail hold solid throughout the whole flight.

Will it help to extend its flight time and tail hold after BL upgrade?

I use ext ESC with silab blheli and gov setup and I very like it. I bought cheap esc from banggood and it work very well with the co5m 11000kv stock 8t pinion. At 57% 5050 headspeed governed if you need help I can help you. I have more power and better flight time since it's lighter and the motor is more efficient.
