Default VX1e Tx problems

just got me self another Spartan (second hand) and seem to be having a problem with the Tx setup bit.

it a VX1e, DSX9 DSM2. Vx1e updated to the latest.

In the setup the sats bind ok, then channel selection etc... then it shows you a live input from the Tx so you can set travels to 100%. this bit doesn't do anything. the dot in the square is in the bottom right. the throttle channel works up to 33% and the rudder works the aileron. nothing else moves. i have 4 other Spartans all VX1n's, this is the first e. thought i might be doing something wrong. or it could be duff.

any help with this would be great.

Do a factory default/reset and start with a fresh model in your radio, if that doesn’t work it may be toast. Try using the PC software via usb to rule out the datapod as well. Actually, the PC software is really, really good and prefer to use it on new setups

Could be very weird model settings in the radio, could be a bad sat, or could be a weird channel order.

As you change the vortex to a different receiver type it resets to the default channel order for that brand. So a quick and useful test would be:

1. Disconnect both satellites
2. Run through the receiver setup on the vortex, and set it to ex-bus (jeti)
3. Connect one satellite, and repeat the receiver setup, setting it back to DSMX and binding the satellite

Repeat that to double check it with the other satellite only.

That should eliminate a satellite or vortex setting problem, so if those steps don't work it's almost certainly a radio setting.

crashcopterman..

the unit was updated to m6. V4.52 and factory reset then later updated again as thought I may of got that wrong or didn't succeed.

also updated the pc software.

Tried both data pod and the pc and got the same result.
used a fresh model and tried a hand full of other satellites

myxiplx….

I will try this later tonight and let you know the results. off flying now :-)

I have another one of these turning up tomorrow. again second hand. would buy new, but know one seems to have them in stock. If get the same results tomorrow with the newer one. could be something with the Tx settings or a duff unit.

will give spartan a buzz tomorrow and find out if it can be repaired.
