I see that you owned an Oxy2 before. I am very interested of you comparing the 2. I am currently flying an Oxy2 and Fusion 180 myself.

I had about 6 trex 250's was totally obsessed, got like number 20 released oxy 2 but never flew it as a stretch, 0xy 3 255 and 285 stretch about 5 trex 450's and 450L, trex 500, sab 380 , then 2 years off last month got back in and currently have blade 130s, fuzion 180 with ikon 2 , fuzion 270 with ikon2 and just got ALZRC x360 and OXY 4 put back to 325.but I most excited about this trex300. happy to see one way bearing included. the 230 blades look like full width like a 325 blade. I will post but I more like to compare to old trex 250, its kinda in a class by itself with blade having the 230 which i think swings 240 blades.

So first 2 flights this morning, flys great, really stable, rock solid, proboly do to the wide blade and the weight 580 only 100 less then my fusion 270, but i like it more. flew at 4200 and 4500 head speed my main bummer is low flight time just about 3 min. motor luke warm, only have pitch set to 12.8 but would not say its under powered . cant say it flys anything like a oxy, its diff but I really like it, Its about time Align replaced the 250 . Im really liking this size,

Curious as to the distance between the main shaft to tail shaft.
Want to compare it against my Trex 250.

Not much longer than the 250 shaft to shaft.

I was wanting to know because I just found two MD500 fuselages that I need mechanics for. Hoping they were not too much longer because the tail case would look goofy hanging out of the back of the boom on the fuselage.
Also have an Airwolf fuse in need of mechanics.

Thanks for the info.

Thank you for reporting back Ramtech. It is almost the same size as the Blade Fusion 270.

What battery are you using? 1300mah?

I was ready to buy the RTF version, but Helidirect didn't include the 300x on their labor day sale.

Bummer. I had 10 % coupon that's what triggered my purchase. Im using ZEEE lipo 1500mah there cheap on amazon and have good IR you get 2 100c to door for 25.99 prime. I tried there 2s hard packs for rc offroad racing and they seem good lipo and value. So I gave a shot for heli. Im going to order 2 more today. At 4200 get 3:30 and come down at 30%

Did you get it. I had a mishap and bent a feather shaft, while waiting for parts to get in stock, i decided to put it on a diet, i managed to take off 45 grams. changed motors to lynx 2214 4100 decased a 25 hobbywing esc, lighter servos. feather shaft gets here tues. overall weight is 534. I have a another motor coming that's about 7 grams lighter. I could get another 9 grams on lighter servos but there not cheap so I will stop here. could go with lighter lipo also but I have 4 of the 1500 mah that weigh 125. Not alot of postings for this bird yet.

Sorry to hear about your mishap.

Do you find the 300X in stock form heavy?

I'm also surprised. Not a lot of postings. I would like to read more info about this bird. I guess all owners are out flying.

The shaft on the lynx motor is 3.17mm diameter

The shaft on the Align 300mx motor is 3.5mm diameter.

How did you get around this issue?

The align pinon is bonded, I did not use it. I had a pinion in my junk pile. Also, the trex mount dos not allow for any adjustment sliding of the motor.

I think the lynx 4100kv was to much for the 25 amp esc, its was getting hot after 1 flight, so I got the lighter motor 7 bucks on banggood its an eflite 3900 kv works great , not warm after flight, I found cheap lite servos on hobby king and ordered , should get down to about 524 grams , just a note it flew just fine stk, i have issues waiting for parts to become available. heli stilll flys awesume , dont know if it flys better. flight time has not gone longer , I did lower head speed. this all would be good if heli came empty,
