Default GAUI NEX6

GAUI just released some new images of their new line up. Looks like its one machine that can be either be built as a Nitro or an Electric.

Nothing wrong with a plastic gearbox. It will be light! I like the old school look of this heli. The old school helis flew good and were super light. With newer electronics this will rock.

Lol, plastic is just fine. Most of the Mikado helis are all plastic tail parts... it works great.

I'm thinking I'll wait for the formula edition with a sexy Gaui Formula canopy. This looks just like my Align 600n. Looks like a nice heli except for that canopy.

it works but it looks cheap and ugly. not to mention that you pay high dollars for those crap plastic kits.
in the long run the maufacturer makes more profit with plastic parts but aluminium parts are pretty cheap to make.

until they release an upgraded gearbox for $150 extra.
the Trex 600N LE some years ago was around $450 (kit only)
I suspect this new kit from GAUI will be over $600 without blades.

Great concept to go either N or E. The N looks like it’s gonna be tail heavy. Hope the E battery tray slides in from the back, but 6S probably needs to slide way forward for CG.

Ya I also agree on the old timey look of the canopy not a fan so far. I am very interested in more details as how it all is going to work as far as having the same frame for N and E. Big GAUI fan so hope this isn't going to be a flop.

I have been testing since IRCHA, I have about 14 Flights on it now with a OS 50 Hyper, and a YS 60SR. It is flying great on both!

We chose plastic for 3 reasons. 1) Plastic works well and it's a lot nicer on the wallet. 2). It will help with the model being tail heavy. You run into this when you run direct to swash servos. 3). We wanted to offer an "upgrade" path for those who want to have some "Bling"

You will be able to run 3 different configurations on Tail and Belts. 550's 610' and 630's Along with Metal R5 Tail Box. there is a lot of possibilities for this model.

I am currently testing on 610's

If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.

I saw their post about the NEX6 being out for pre-order but I have no idea where I can pre-order one in US.
