Yes, stock canopy. I just made the post holes a bit longer. Alternatively, the Fusion 180 canopy provides a lot of extra room on the 150s.

today i had a strange tail issue. I flew my 1st lipo and after 4min the tail/the heli suddenly startet to spin around like crazy!! It was super fast and i couldn‘t manage anything...after about 5 secounds the spinning stopped and the 150s was stable again.

Do you know what happend here? Anybody had the same issue? I use a blade 230s tailrotor and a „heavy“ 700mah turnigy lipo. could the tail been overloaded because of the heavy lipo and the bigger tail rotor?

Anybody put an IKON micro in this yet?

I have a 150S on the way and kind of want to put the IKON in it right off the batt...

I heard there was another incident from RCgroup but root cause was not found. And he could not reproduce the issue after that. So reason remains unknown...

Maybe double check all connections first to see if there’s any plug came loose...?

Yes, someone already tried to put a micro brain/ ikon on it (OP to be specific)

But the stock FBL is totally fine for its job.

Thanks!

Was curious Because
I like to use My "spare/Sim " radio (DX8 GEN1) for micros. It just seems as if IKON set up may be easier and more consistent to adjust/use rather than making the new AR unit work on an older radio ??

You’re totally fine with stock 150S FBL using DX8 gen1 as someone has already done so.

Have a look in the new 150S sub forum for more!

Hey guys I was planning on putting a micro spirit in the 150s this week and was curious since to my knowledge there's no governor or ESC telemetry available what throttle% you would recommend for low headspeed that would allow for light 3D. 75% is fine but feels a little too much at times, like managing collective

Perhaps the tail esc went into temperature or over current protection.

I put in a uSpirit and Jeti receiver in mine this past weekend (...just because ) and i'm about 3/4 of the way through the setup. If you get yours running i'd like to compare notes. I was able to get the main and tail ESCs to arm and respond, but I cant get the tail calibrated properly. Rudder endpoints go from barely moving to "holy crap its going so fast the motor will burn out" without much consistency as far as i can tell

I think you have set the uSpirit up to use motorised tail (Rudder - Control type to Motor)right...?

And I remember if you use motorised tail, end point would be sth around 126 to 150...just some thoughts.

And there is a note on using Low RPM on motorised tail in manual...not seen before. Maybe new features after firmware update.

Default Blade 150s

In manual the flight mode and gear channel are on the same switch. You can assign another switch to gear channel.

Channel value of +100 turn on SAFE, and any value equals or less than 0 turn that off.

You may also come to have a look in the 150S forum too.
