Default Blade 500 tail

So on the 500x there are two press fit pins that hold the tail pitch slider to the tail rotor grips.

One flight went ok, then spooled up for the second time and the tail goes nuts. This little pin had slid out and poof it's dissapeared. What a shtt design for a heli tail. (Did I mention it's press fit?) Very relieved this not not occur off the ground.

I pressed on the other pin with a center punch just for fun, it slid out like butter. Yikes.

Anyone have a repair or work around for this? Maybe another style pin or glue between steel and plastic?

Maybe a screw with a nut?

Otherwise I'm looking at $30 for a complete new belted tail.
