Default Spartan Pico, setup help please.

Just about to start the setup of the linkages and PICO.
I have never had a FBL before so know nothing, i have seen a very good video guide on YT by "RC jedi" BUT at a couple of points when he says adjust values he is not clear on if it done with pico OR the radio.
The initial travel seting is clear ,use the radio. Servo at 90 is not clear where its done.
When using a FBL what is the radio used for regards settings/adjustments? Or should I ask what adjustments are made in the FBL?

With the Spartan Vortex, you begin by calibrating the stick throws in the TX so they travel to 100% each way as 'seen' by the Vortex. Once that is done the only setting actually required in the TX will be your throttle curves or %, everything else is set in the Vx1.

So you'll setup the servo linkage mechanically as close as possible to everything being level, 90 degrees etc. and then fine-tune in the swash menu in the Vortex.

The guides are very good and it's quite intuitive once you get used to it: Spartan Vortex VX1p

You basically just need to work through the Setup Wizard in the Spartan Studio software, every step is clearly explained, and it walks you through everything you need.

I also wrote a beginner's guide which covers everything from unboxing and connecting cables, to flight tuning:
