Weather is bad here so taking some time to tighten up my heli (#60 dampers and an extra shim per side - three a side now).

Been reading about changing the pinion to an 11 tooth and wonder what your thoughts are on that? What pinions do you use?

I know this will strain the weak esc further. However! Throughout all of the flying I've done so far my esc has always landed with lukewarm temps, as measured by finger. Same with motor and battery. That's with IDU flying throwing it around quite hard, with near 100% throttle curve throughout. Servos all changed to savox 257 mgs and quark gyro.

Think I'll push it too far with 11t? I would like more power and response, as I feel with a 10t it bogs a touch on pitch pumps....

Just picked up a second hand blade 450 35amp esc for cheap, so I think I'm going to install that and see how it fares before I try an 11T pinion. Also happy to find out that the SBEC on the EFLA335H esc has a 6v option for the servos!

Anyone have any thoughts on running the 11T pinion? Head is fully stock but with CF blades, and tightened up with 3 shims per side on the feathering shaft.
