Default Belts are back in stock - 360CFX, Fusion 360

I received shipping notice on my backorder so belts for the 360CFX and Fusion 360 are back in stock.

How often/many flights before belt needs to be replaced? Tail stikes take it out?

A lot of it depends on how you fly. I mostly fly around with maybe an occasional loop, roll, or straight inverted pass now and then. I've never worn one out yet and I fly quite a bit. Now somebody smacking it around the sky at higher rpm is going to wear it much quicker just like everything else. The pros change theirs every 10-20 flights but we can't afford that. I do treat them with some Teflon spray every 20 or so flights to stave off dry rot. I'm sure others have their own methods if they do anything at all.

You know, someone said that before and it wasn't long before Kyle Stacey showed up in the thread to tell us that he doesn't. He said he replaces things when they wear out.

Looks like my belts were shipped from a HH vendor and not HH. I guess they had some and are just filling backorders. Oh well the two I got will last me a long time. They didn't charge any shipping since it was part of a previous larger order which is good.

I bet Kyle got a big laugh out of that picture when he first saw it.

"dry rot" - hmmm. I've got a JR Vigor I haven't flown since 2001. Guessing the belt in that bird would need replacement if flown. And I have been thinking about resurecting it. Not sure if I can even get a belt for it at present, though.

I'm guessing they do dry out but never experienced it. So don't take my comment as a golden rule. My oldest heli (the Hirobo Shuttle) has a plastic ribbon type belt that is reinforced so it's never been an issue.

I bet you could find a belt for it somehow if you need one. Lots of us old farts here.
