Default MSH FrSky Adapter cable vs Spirit S-BUS inverter: Same thing?

Is the MSH FrSky adapter cable equivalent to the Spirit SBus inverter cable? Can I use the Spirit SBus inverter in place of an MSH FrSky adapter?

I don't know and I have no idea how the inverter cables of the other brands were made.

Those for Brain2 (MSH51645) have the inverter circuit powered by the SAT1 connector which is 3.3V.
The connection that goes then to the receiver that can be powered by LV (4.5V) up to HV (8.4V) is isolated so as not to short-circuit the power supply of the receiver (up to 8,4V) with the stabilized 3.3V power supply of the Brain2.

If you use other cables, make sure that the positive that goes to the Brain2 and the positive that goes to the receiver are isolated from each other.

Otherwise you risk burning the Brain2 controller!

Thanks! That’s good info.

I ended up taking the safe route and purchasing the MSH inverter.

Is MSH going to release a bidirectional inverter for f.port users or do we need an inverted f.port pad on our receivers and most importantly, is there a performance boost that would make f.port desirable over s.port and s.bus?

There is no performance boost. The only thing that F.Port will provide is the ability to use a single cable instead of two. As far as I know there is no change in data transfer rates.
