Default First Time replacing Frame !

I’ve had the V1 when it first came out and now the V2 , this is my beater practice heli , came down hard about a month ago and broke the frame under the skids , glued it like always .. then had a harder inverted crash and broke more parts , thought WTH , might as as well do frame also..it’s not as fun as as I thought it would be ! It’s kinda a PIA ..taking a lot longer than I thought , Sure makes me appreciate the CF frames on the other Helies ... any experienced tips or advice is appreciated !

I need to replace my frame because canopy mount is cracked (the frame part of it). I'm not going to though as it would be exploratory since I didn't build it

Be careful not to over-tighten the screws that bit into the plastic as it's easy to strip things. If you do you'll need to use a slightly larger screw. The motor mount and boom screws come to mind.

My tip would be to not dis-assemble the rotor shaft as it will come out of the old frame compete when you split it and go into the new frame before putting the halves together. Also put the tail boom in before screwing the halves together and make sure the wires are pulled through the hole in the frame. It is a PITA with the electrics as all these need to be disconnected. Also get the correct JIS screw driver for the screws and use a bit of oil when you fit the screws.

That was my experience when replacing my V2 frame. Very annoying.
