Default Help with tail compensating in the wrong direction

Iím trying to set up Neo with Vcontrol and everything is moving in the right direction but the tail is compensating the wrong way. The tail is moving the right way from the TX commands so the servo doesnít need to be reverse. The Neo is set to the right mounting configuration. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Over the past 10 years there has been a few posts like yours. In every case the user has been at pains to explain they have done everything correctly yet for the gyro to do the opposite. Others like you have explained the servo moves correctly with the transmitter...

It has taken a few posts from experienced pilots to try and resolve the issue but the user would not take on board what they had to do.

You have made a small mistake during the setup procedure. It might be you have made a mistake with the mechanics. Flipping the grips inadvertently will confuse the hell out of your setup.

Not to dwell on it further but to state you have done what you think is correct is clearly wrong else it would of worked correctly! You cannot move from the step until it is set correctly. This is the fundamental of how the setup works.

A clear picture of your model would be helpful.

You need to go back and basically start again.

Reverse the tail gyro under the tail gyro menu, after reversing the stick control will still be the same just the compensation will be affected.

Go to setup tools, edit heli wizard enter the setup mode and scroll until you get to the tail gyro menu.
Than whatever the gyro setting is,you input the opposite,if it's in normal mode reverse the gyro,if it's in reverse mode go to normal mode, that should fix your compensation problem, after that scroll until you've exited the set up menu.
If you set this heli up yourself (just curious) how do you not know how to get to the gyro setup?

The gas conversion dose not use the bell crank like the N7. The gasser has the servo mounted in the back and itís just one CF rod to the servo.

If tail compensates incorrectly then it is always the orientation of Neo is set incorrectly or you have the main rotor rotation direction wrong. One cannot change the compensation direction via ANY setting only the servo direction can be changed.

So bottom line is, IF the deflection is set correctly ie RIGHT is RIGHT and LEFT is LEFT from the TX, main rotor direction is correct and Neo orientation is correct it will compensate correctly.

Everything mentioned above is set correctly.

When I move the TX stick to the right the leading edge of the top blade moves right. when looking at the heli from the back. Is that correct?

If I move the tail to the left the top blade leading edge all so moves left is that correct?

Just looked at your pics. Are your tail blades installed correctly? I thought most went CCW as viewed from the starboard side. Admittedly I don’t know anything about your heli, so sorry if I’m way off there.

Your tail blades are backwards like zoezoe mentioned.

Tail blades mounted incorrectly. The bottom blade on a CCW (viewed from the right) tail will work like a boat's rudder, so giving right input the LE of bottom blade will move to the left.

My tail spins CW so the blades are on correctly.. the N7 uses a gear to gear drive system it has no belt. I got this heli used and this is how the previous owner had the tail blades.

So on a CW rotating tail every thing is going to be opposite? So my be everything is moving correctly. So on a CW rotating tail when I give right rudder input from the TX what way should the leading edge of the top tail point? Right now it turns to the right and if I move the tail left with my hand the top blade leading edge moves to the left when viewed from the back of the heli is this correct?

I think the gyro compensation is moving the correct way but when using the TX itís moving the wrong way but if I reverse the servo Iím going to have the opposite problem.

Tail blades are on correctly

All Henseleit helicopters also uses a CW rotating tail. To get correct direction, top blade LE should move left for right rudder input.

Reversing the servo will NOT affect the compensation direction as this is set inside the Neo via main rotor direction and Neo orientation.

I reversed the tail servo so itís moving correctly but it reversed the gyro compensation.

Are you sure all other settings is correct and that you do look at the compensation correctly? Moving the TAIL to the right the top blade’s LE must move left.
